Yistol, Formerly K Pi$tol, Drops Two Collabs Out of Buffalo

Covering: Buffalo rapper Yistol, formerly K Pi$tol, released Up to Me with G Herbo and Window Shopper 2 with Rio Da Yung OG in July.

Yistol

Yistol is the name Buffalo is going to see more of. The East Side rapper spent years as K Pi$tol. The new handle is already on the last two singles, while older catalog and some stores still list the old one.

Those last two records came two weeks apart. Up to Me, with Chicago’s G Herbo, arrived July 1. Window Shopper 2, with Flint’s Rio Da Yung OG, followed July 15. Both went out under Yistol, not the name still sitting on a lot of the older pages.

That pairing is what people are talking about. Herbo is a national name. Rio has been a constant in the underground conversation. Back-to-back features like that are the kind of look Buffalo rappers usually have to leave town to get.

The older story is still the one local press tells. He came up watching his brother Jay Batters, who cut records with Benny the Butcher and Conway the Machine before Griselda went national. Conway later told him, backstage, that it is fine to be bored while you chase the actual goal. DJ Holiday put him on a Seattle bill with Wiz Khalifa and 24hrs. None of that was a major-label rollout. It was a Buffalo artist stacking rooms.

The records that got him into that conversation are still circulating. HAT, with Atlanta’s Baby Kia, crossed half a million streams. Local Celeb, the 2025 project, opened at No. 146 on iTunes. In March he packed a sold-out No Label night in Buffalo and ran an unreleased Rio record before the single existed.

The split name will confuse a search for a minute. K Pi$tol is the catalog. Yistol is the play now. He is next up out of Buffalo, and this rollout is how the city gets put on the map — two records, names that already travel, dropped like he was never waiting on permission.
